By accessing or using the Open Door Japan app or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Open Door Japan helps you discover foreigner-friendly rental housing in Japan listed by third-party property operators (Oak House, Sakura House, Village House and others). We are an information and inquiry intermediary; we are not the landlord, broker, or guarantor for any listing.
Property details — price, availability, photos, location — are obtained from the listing operators and may change without notice. Always confirm key facts (price, terms, availability) directly with the operator before signing any agreement.
You may use the Service as a guest. Some features (saving favorites, contacting landlords) require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate information when signing up.
The Service is free to browse. After saving the first few favorites you may purchase a one-time Premium Unlock for ¥500 (tax included) to remove the favorites limit and unlock landlord inquiry features.
The Premium Unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payment is processed by Stripe. The unlock is granted to your account immediately upon successful payment.
Because the unlock is a digital good delivered instantly, we do not offer refunds or cancellations after purchase, except as required by applicable law. See the Commerce Disclosure for the full statutory notice.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Any contract for a rental, viewing, or property transaction is between you and the listing operator. We are not a party to that contract and we make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing.
Links and inquiry forms in the Service may pass your information (name, email, message) to the relevant operator so they can reply directly. The operator's privacy policy applies to anything they do with that information.
The Open Door Japan name, logo, and original content (text, design, code) are owned by us. Listing photos and descriptions are owned by the respective listing operators and used with permission. You may not reproduce or distribute our content outside personal use.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that any particular listing will result in a successful rental.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (typically ¥500 or less). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded under Japanese law, including liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by emailing opendoorjapanapp@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraud or abuse.
Premium Unlock purchases are non-refundable on termination (see section 4).
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Fukuoka District Court as the court of first instance.
